Ashirbad has joined The Climate Group as Communication Officer. Based in New Delhi, he is responsible for looking after publications, managing dialogue and event oriented interactions with the stakeholders and building the Group’s media presence in India.

Prior to joining The Climate Group, he spent close to two years working with the communication division of Winrock International India (WII). At WII, he shared his time between editing and coordinating magazine, newsletters and other publications; managing the organization's website, providing support in event coordination among other outreach related activities.

Prior to WII, Ashirbad worked as a trainee reporter with the Delhi edition of The Times of India newspaper.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from University of Delhi, he finished his Post Graduation in Journalism with a Gold medal from Times Centre for Media Studies. To better his understanding of environmental issues, he has also done short term courses on Energy for sustainable development from Lund University, Sweden and a course on Climate change and disaster management from the World Bank Institute.

When away from work, Ashirbad is happiest indulging in poetry, travelling through the mountains and freezing frames of rural lives and landscape.
