Deon Lai

Development Manager, Hong Kong

Deon is responsible for the implementation and management of TCG’s fundraising outreach strategy in Hong Kong and southern China, as well as managing donor relations for our funders based in the region.

Deon joins The °Climate Group from Oxfam Hong Kong, where she was the Donor Development Officer (Fundraising Partnerships), generating funding support for Oxfam Hong Kong’s programs in China, south Asia and Africa, as well as pioneering a corporate donor program for Oxfam Hong Kong.  Previously a Program Coordinator at the Hong Kong Red Cross, Deon has a varied and solid background in fundraising and development work as well as experience of direct marketing within the private sector in Hong Kong. 

Deon holds a BA (Hons) in Translation and Interpretation from the City University of Hong Kong and an MA in Development Studies with a major in Gender Analysis in Rural Livelihood from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom.
