Stephanie Pfeifer

Programme Director, IIGCC

Stephanie is the Programme Director for the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC), a forum for collaboration between institutional investors on investment issues related to climate change. The IIGCC promotes a better understanding of the implications of climate change on financial performance and encourages the integration of climate change risks and opportunities into investment decision-making.

Prior to joining The Climate Group, Stephanie worked for Morgan Grenfell and Deutsche Bank as a senior economist in the Global Markets Research group, focusing on European countries. She has also worked with an economic consultancy firm and completed a project with a rating agency in Germany, analysing the social and environmental performance of utility companies.

Stephanie holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University, an MA in European Economics from Exeter University and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management (with distinction) from Oxford University. Her MSc dissertation looked at the integration of climate change risks and opportunities into the investment decision-making of institutional investors. She is fluent in German.
