Prior to joining The Climate Group, Rob worked for advertising agencies Abbott Mead Vickers and Lunar. As an Account Director, he was responsible for managing the client relationship - getting under the skin of businesses, interpreting their briefs, selling ideas back to them, using their money wisely and generally keeping them happy - as well as managing the smooth running of the creative process from planning to execution. He had a hand in some well-known campaigns, including those for Sainsbury’s, BT, Road Safety and The Economist.
Rob read Human Sciences at Oxford, a course that covered everything from human genetic makeup to cultural peculiarities. His passion for humans and their ecology (alongside a growing cynicism for modern advertising...) led to a change of direction and a burgeoning career with The Climate Group.
