On Tuesday 13 March the Government of North Rhine Westphalia formally endorsed the Montreal Declaration of the Federated States and Regional Governments on Climate Change.
North Rhine Westphalia is the westernmost Federal State of Germany, has a population of over 18 million and the region contributes some 22 percent of Germany’s gross domestic product.
“By joining with other regional governments from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Oceania the Government of North Rhine Westphalia, demonstrates its commitment to tackling climate change. The Climate Group congratulates you on this commitment and we look forward to working with you on this important issue.” Dr Steve Howard, CEO of The Climate Group said.
