Climate Leadership Programme

The Climate Leadership Programme has been developed in association with Cambridge University in the UK and Duke University in the US, to help high-level business executives understand how to seize the business advantage inherent in addressing global climate change.

The Programme will combine Cambridge and Duke Universities’ knowledge of climate science and policy with insight into business leadership to provide participants with a vision for how to succeed in a world moving toward a low-carbon economy. The Programme will address the growing interest among business leaders to proactively respond towards the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Climate Leadership Programme is designed for senior leaders from business, government and non-governmental organisations with responsibilities within their organisation relating to climate, energy, resources and procurement. It also welcomes nominations from senior CSR and sustainable development professionals, as well as those working in financial and investment roles.

The Programme is designed to provide participants with:

> A deeper understanding of the scientific, political and business challenges and opportunities associated with addressing climate change
> An appreciation of the technological solutions that could be used to minimise greenhouse gas emissions
> An evaluation of the initiatives that attendees could implement within their organisations to evoke the needed changes
> A forum for exploring and debating the business case
> A unique source of leading-edge information and expertise
> A top-level international network for the exchange of ideas and best practice for sustainability
