Climate Change Strategy Details

Royal Philips Electronics continues to set new sustainability goals through its EcoVision environmental action program. EcoVision4 uses 2007 as its baseline year to set targets for 2012, including an operational energy efficiency improvement of 25% and a reduction in CO2 emissions by 25%. Furthermore, Royal Philips Electronics looks to double their investment in Green Innovations to a cumulative €1 by 2012. While working on their current goals, Royal Philips Electronics has already begun laying out their targets for EcoVision5 to be completed by 2015. Included in EcoVision5 is a target for improving energy efficiency of their average product portfolio by 50% compared to 2009, and doubling global collection and recycling amounts and recycled materials in products compared to 2009.
