Industry response to SMART 2020

Global industry leaders respond to the findings. What is the current response from the industry to the focus on "green IT"? What is the latest ICT best practice in addressing the indirect impacts?

Smart Grid Prospects in India

Power generation represents about 60% of India's total emissions, yet up to 32% of total generation is lost in transmission and distribution as a result of both commercial and technical losses. The suite of technologies that make up a 'smart grid' hold the potential not only to enable more efficient energy use, but also cleaner energy use. What is needed to facilitate such a change, in terms of standards, financial mechanisms, technology sharing and policy frameworks, and what other barriers need to be overcome.
