LCV event and a super EV car

Well I’m back from my holiday and was revved-up and excited about visiting and presenting for The Climate Group at the biggest industry and government event of its kind in the UK, Low Carbon Vehicle Event 2011.
The annual LCV event has been run by Cenex for a number of years and backed by DfT and BIS as well as UKTI.
Three years ago we were talking about the UK and what we would do on EVs, and this year was more about reviewing real work trials, debating life cycle emissions, the progress and uptake of EVs in the UK and seeing launches of racing cars showcasing supercar performing EV car - that Paul Drayson will hopefully do some record breaking stuff in, in just a few months!
I chatted to this very enthusiastic man about his new venture, and I am excited myself… talk about how to bring you back from a holiday with a bang!
Wow, how exciting. When I worked for Paul in his capacity as Minister of State for Business and Regulatory Reform at the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, he was a great and visionary leader. He made things happen: we talked about how to do this in EVs, and as a racing fan he felt showcasing technology in race cars was a great way of moving the topic forward.
Well here he is doing exactly what he said; a man that puts his money where his mouth is. Good luck and bring it on - the world is changing and he is there at the front again winning as he likes to do.
Now all I need to do is find a way of becoming his test driver!
