New film: Revenge of the Electric Car

By Robin Haycock, Head of Transport, The Climate Group.

A exciting new EV documentary by Chris Paine called Revenge of the Electric Car - the successor to the popular Who Killed the Electric Car - is set to hit the big screens on October 22. As you can imagine, this is right up my EV chargepoint-lined street...

And luckily for us EV fanatics, this aptly-named 'hybrid' release will also be shown at special event screenings around the world. So far it has only been screened in a select few places, primarily New York, but you can vote for it to screened in a city near you - so there's no excuses for missing it!

Vote for a screening in your city now; I'm voting for a London screening or two, that's for sure.

The film is presented by The Sierra Club, Electric Drive Transportation Association and others, and focuses on some of the big-players in the industry, including Elon Musk, Tesla Motors, Bob Lotz, GM, who is responsible for the brilliant Volt and Carlos Ghosn, Nissan - the guy who was the driving force behind the Leaf.

The narrative follows the EV leaders and looks at the big risk they've chosen to take by driving such innovation in the EV field, and the rewards they are now of course reaping.

In the context of the recession, this pioneering technological leadership is fascinating and inspiring, and I can't wait to find out more.

Don't forget to vote for a screening near you
