- End Date:
- July 19, 2010
- Location:
- Brisbane, Queensland
The Climate Group are partnering with Ernst and Young and The Queensland Government to host a roundtable on electric vehicle (EV) development in Queensland. The event will launch Queensland’s membership of the EV20 Taskforce, an international ‘coalition of the willing’, convened by The Climate Group, to rapidly advance the commercial deployment of EVs around the world.
The roundtable will bring Queensland Government representatives together with senior EV stakeholders including automotive manufacturers, energy market participants, infrastructure providers, financiers and fleet managers. The event will facilitate discussion on key issues such as customers, supply chain, and what infrastructure and business models are required to bring electric vehicles to an expected tipping point in 2020.
Keynote speaker Robin Haycock will provide an international perspective on EV development. Robin is an Auto Industry and Sustainable Transport Specialist with Arup in the UK, and has spent the last two years working on secondment to the UK government’s Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV).
Key questions that will be addressed include:
* What are the challenges?
* Who will be the players?
* What are the critical success factors?
* How can we collectively work together to successfully navigate through this unprecedented industry transformation?
