Our Work

Special Projects

In addition to our global efforts low carbon policies and technologies, we also work on a number of specific initiatives.  We're linking cities with the biggest beverage brands on the planet to help scale up recycling as an important way to fight climate change. And, through our Climate Principles for the finance sector, we're working together with leading banks and investors to see how they can help build new opportunities to finance the low carbon economy.

    City Partnerships

The world's urban centers are home to much of its population - and responsible for much of its emissions. They are also the hubs where business and government can work together to put low carbon technologies in motion quickly. That's why we're helping New York City light up its streets with LEDs. And why we're partnering to improve energy efficiency and delivery across Greater Mumbai.

    Program:
    The Climate Principles

We joined four major international financial institutions - HSBC, Credit Agricole, Standard Chartered, and Swiss Re - to launch the Climate Principles for the finance sector. Working with banks, investors and financial institutions, we're building a framework that will help financial institutions manage the risks, and the opportunities, of climate change.
