HK LightSavers launch

This event is Invite Only.

LightSavers is an international consortium of government agencies and organizations working together to advance LEDs and smart adaptive lighting solutions in cities. Led by The °Climate Group, LightSavers aims to make lighting more useful by improving its quality, enhancing public safety, lowering its operational cost, and reducing its carbon emissions.

Under LightSavers, three pilot sites will be set up in Hong Kong:

  • The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST)
  • The University of Hong Kong (HKU)
  • The Hong Kong International Airport

A launch event will be organized at the HKUST campus to commence the LightSavers programme and the pilot projects in Hong Kong.

A small-scale seminar and a media briefing session will be arranged prior to the launch event. The seminar will be co-organized by The Climate Group and the Energy Alliance (a student-run organization at HKUST), and will discuss on LED technology and financing perspectives. Read about the roundtable. The media briefing session will provide technical information on the programme and LED technology for local media attending the launch event.
