Brussels Sustainable Development Summit 2012

The "Bringing the Rio+20 Agenda to Life" Summit (BSDS 2012) will focus on ways to achieve sustainable development in the context of a multi-faceted, systemic, global crisis.

The run up to the Summit will include ‘BDSD Dialogues’ – online thematic discussion platforms that aim to identify and analyse best practices for sustainable development, and set the stage for discussions on 17 and 18 December, 2012.

The Dialogues will result in a political statement that will contribute to European and international policymaking.

The first day will feature thematic workshops and the second day will include constructive dialogues between stakeholders and eminent political leaders. Plenary sessions will be organised in presence of His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium.

The Climate Group contributes to the summit on the cities and regions theme and will support showcasing the opportunities of the green economy and the need for a Clean Revolution.

Registrations to the second day are free of charge. Please visit our website for more information and registration: or email
