Business Summit on Climate Leadership 2011

The Business Summit on Climate Leadership 2011 (BSCL 2011) is a leadership platform and dialogue on the progressive business solutions to address climate change.

Advancing clean growth for sustainability has shifted from an economic potential, to a huge business opportunity. It is already shaping the agenda of multinational market leaders and emerging market entrepreneurs.

The growth value of low carbon businesses will reach as much as US$2.2 trillion over the next ten years. Fuelled by innovative clean technologies, the low carbon economy is more than meeting the demands of the carbon-conscious global investor and consumer.

Convened by The Climate Group in partnership with HSBC, the BSCL 2011 features high-level government and business speakers including those from CB Richard Ellis, chinadialogue, Cisco, Climate Change Capital, CLP Holdings Ltd, HP, HSBC, Suzlon, Swire Pacific Ltd and The Climate Group. BSCL 2011 will:

  • analyze the current and potential fast-growth and high-yield clean technology market;
  • discuss the financial mechanisms and policy-led growth needed to unlock low carbon opportunities;
  • offer a business-driven platform to tackle the global climate challenge.

Clean technology leaders have scaled-up low carbon solutions, offering a roadmap on how businesses can create value for all environmental, financial and social stakeholders. Together, we can secure a better, smarter and more prosperous future for all.
