Climate Week NYC is a key international platform for governments, businesses and civil society to collaborate on low carbon leadership, through a week filled with events, activities and high-profile meetings.
In 2014 Climate Week NYC will also coincide with the UN’s Climate Summit. Together we have the potential to catapult climate change back to the top of the world agenda, mobilizing leaders to act now.
The Opening Day of Climate Week NYC 2014: Toward a vibrant, global low carbon economy, will bring together CEOs from the world’s leading companies, governors of some of the biggest states in the world and civil society leaders to define what is meant by true climate leadership. Many have set ambitious targets to reduce emissions and strengthen climate resilience and are already reaping the benefits. These now need to be harnessed to provide the political cover for action on a national level, bringing confidence and urgency to international processes to maximize the chance of a high-ambition outcome in 2015. The opening day of Climate Week NYC will present a call to action – what could be done given national commitment.
The Opening Day agenda is available here - although it is subject to change.
Join us in NYC to create a real tipping-point for transformative change.
