- North Rhine Westphalia Representation to the EU, Brussels
What is Europe’s role in the Clean Revolution? What can low carbon leaders - such as The Climate Group’s membership network - contribute to its acceleration?
This meeting, kindly hosted by the Government of North Rhine-Westphalia, will bring together corporate and government members of The Climate Group to build partnerships around our latest activities and reflect on the role that our Alliance can play in driving the Clean Revolution in Europe and globally.
Program highlights include:
- A joint "Taking the Lead" session, where Director General Jos Delbeke from the European Commission DG Climate Action will speak about the role for low carbon leadership in driving climate policy in Europe. All members will have the chance to present their most recent low carbon achievements.
- Interactive sessions on key areas of The Climate Group engagement, including discussions on our Clean Revolution work in China and India, with keynotes from Changhua Wu, Greater China Director, The Climate Group, and Pradeep Singh, IFS Deputy Secretary, Climate Change Department, Government of Gujarat; as well as presentations of upcoming new European projects.
- A launch reception for "TheEarthHack", our new crowdsourcing innovation challenge in partnership with Marblar.
During the morning, States and Regions Alliance members will gather for a closed political session co-hosted by Johannes Remmel, Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Agriculture, Nature Conservation and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Mark Kenber, CEO, The Climate Group.
