The Climate Group and the Carbon Trust join BT in London, on June 18, for the launch of BT’s Net Good methodology, vision and goal: to help customers reduce their carbon emissions by at least three times the end-to-end carbon impact of BT’s business by 2020.
BT believes that technology can help its customers and our societies thrive while living within the constraints of the planet’s resources.
Being a responsible and sustainable business leader is already one of BT’s six strategic priorities for growth. As part of its Better Future programme, BT has articulated this vision and set itself a 2020 goal to help make it a reality. The goal brings together, into a coherent whole, the different components of BT’s positive and negative impact, and links revenue growth to carbon abatement.
Over the past year BT has developed a methodology for measuring its progress against the 3:1 goal. It created a framework which helps BT measure the two components of the goal.
Opening at 11:00am with Ian Livingston, CEO of BT, and ending with a networking lunch from 1:45pm, this event will give you the opportunity to examine the different aspects of the framework, and take part in the discussion about its future use and wider potential.
Please note that this is an invitation-only event, but you can follow us on @ClimateGroup for live tweeting on the day.
