Johnson Controls, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and The Climate Group sign for fourth Euro-Mediterranean Energy Efficiency Forum

BRUSSELS: Johnson Controls, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and The Climate Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the fourth Euro-Mediterranean Energy Efficiency Forum (EEF).
The event, to be held on March 24 and 25 2014 in Monaco, will gather policy and decision makers to promote action on the adoption of legislation designed to curb climate change. This year's edition will focus on the theme “Targeting Efficiency for Economic Recovery,Committing to Growth”. Programme and speakers are to be confirmed in the upcoming months.
Last year’s EEF hosted his Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Dr. Kandeh K. Yumkella, Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Pierre Cardin, famous couturier, artist and designer of Palais LumièreVenice, Italy , Gene Murtagh, CEO Kingspan, and Lluis Recorder, Minister of Territory and Sustainability, Catalonia.
The EEF will again host the Energy Efficiency Innovator Awards program, rewarding individuals or organizations that have contributed to improved energy efficiency in six categories: Policy, Finance, Technology, Projects, Communication, and Business Model.
An official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the parties took place at an event in Brussels, hosted by the Johnson Controls’ Institute of Building Efficiency.
