The Forum on Philanthropy Project Carbon Tracking in China

BEIJING: The Climate Group, in partnership with the Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China and Philips has successfully finished The Forum on Philanthropy Project Carbon Tracking in China.

The project was launched in April 2011 by Philips. With the help of the Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, Philips donated a total of 31290 energy-saving lamps in Yunnan, Gansu, Henan, Guizhou, Shandong, in primary schools in the Shanxi provinces. This project has reduced 264 tons of carbon.

The Climate Group and the Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation support the Carbon Tracking Project through its Climate Change Fund. It is the first fund established in China’s low-carbon and philanthropy field. The Carbon Tracking Project aims break through the traditional philanthropy model and transform Chinese public welfare up in a better direction.
