Overview

The Network of Regional Governments for Sustainable Development, nrg4SD, is a non-profit international organization representing sub-national governments and associations of sub-national governments at global level.

Established in 2002 at the World Summit of Johannesburg, today nrg4SD totals some 50 sub-national governments from 30 countries and 7 associations of sub-national governments.

nrg4SD is the only international network on sustainable development matters with worldwide presence, representing solely sub-national governments. The Network promotes sustainable development at the level of sub-national government around the Globe and acts as the voice and representative of sub-national governments at global level in the field of sustainable development.
