Zoë Ashcroft is a corporate lawyer and one of the founding partners of the London office of Winston & Strawn, a leading international law firm. Zoë heads Winston's UK Corporate Practice and has more than 20 years experience handling complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, investments and financing transactions. She has particular experience in relation to US/UK transactions and with cross border transactional matters involving African and Chinese companies, working with a broad range of clients, including companies in the renewable energy and clean technology sector.
Zoë also serves on the UK board of trustees of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, which is a UK registered charity and affiliate of the US not-for-profit organization SEO, which was established in the 1960s. The SEO group arranges mentoring and internship opportunities for students from under-represented ethnic minorities within the investment banking, corporate law and other sectors and has operations across the US, in the UK and in Asia.
Zoë is also a member of Winston’s global diversity board and sits on the board of the not-for-profit Winston Foundation. She has been recognized in both the Chambers and Legal 500 independent guides to the legal profession based on client feedback, and has been ranked as a leading individual in relation to banking and finance matters for a number of years.
