Anne-Sophie joined The Climate Group as States and Regions Stakeholder Manager in November 2013 and is based in our London office. She is responsible for membership support and engagement of our States and Regions Alliance to ensure that governments benefit from being a member of The Climate Group. Anne-Sophie is also supporting the member-led Working Groups and works with them to make sure their activities and outcomes are valuable and meaningful for our members.

Prior to joining The Climate Group, Anne-Sophie worked at the EPFL Energy Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she was Bioenergy and Sustainability Project Manager with responsibility for the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB). The RSB is a global multi-stakeholder initiative developing a sustainability certification standard for biofuels. Anne-Sophie worked together with partners from government agencies, the private sector, civil society and consultancies focusing on the environmental and social sustainability of bioenergy development. This has included work on dispute resolution for biomass certification schemes; development of sustainability policy and voluntary sustainability standards across countries including Thailand, Ethiopia and Indonesia.

Anne-Sophie holds a M.A. in political science from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, Germany. A German national, she has lived in the US, Lithuania and Switzerland, and just recently moved to the UK.
