Clare leads on the global digital and content strategy for the organization. Managing the creative and digital team, she is responsible for the vision and development of our website, and oversees the planning, production, editorial quality and tone of voice for all content, including daily News stories, VIP communications, infographics, newsletters, briefings and printed reports, of which she is Editor.

Since 2011 she has also built our global social media strategy, establishing our sector-leading Twitter and Google+ accounts by launching high-profile campaigns, events coverage and live Q&A sessions with partners such as the UN, World Bank and EU.

Her previous work includes Editor roles for, and, a start-up where she also managed an online community, email marketing and social media. As well as freelance journalism, Clare has edited published books, overseen website redesigns and collaborated on copywriting with corporate brands. Clare graduated from the University of Southampton with a BA in English in 2007, where she edited a section of the university newspaper. 

In her free time Clare is a voluntary business mentor for HERA, which helps formerly human trafficked women become entrepreneurs. Clare has also volunteered for several charities by advising them on their digital strategies, such as children’s refuge Mision Mexico. She enjoys learning to code, running, reading, her French bulldog Enzo, writing for her website pplkind and seeing live music (while instagramming it all, of course).
