Subaskar is Programme Analyst at The Climate Group, responsible for program co-ordination and support for the acceleration of rural access to sustainable energy in India, together with research and performance tracking support for The Climate Group’s wider programmes. His work includes supporting The Climate Group’s International Programs Director, Jim Walker, on the development and research co-ordination of programs, including support to establish corporate, NGO and government partnerships, support in managing funder outreach and relationship management for The Climate Group’s programs.
Prior to joining The Climate Group, he worked as Research Consultant with Climatico Analysis, Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and Moneybomb Consultancy. A Sri Lankan national, he has also worked as an external Consultant with The Climate Group’s ICTs for Sustainable Energy Partnership (ISEP), researching on European governments’ initiatives to employ ICT to improve energy efficiency in their operations, and co-authored the report, Greening government through ICT: Insights from Europe.
Subaskar holds an MSc in Contemporary India from the University of Oxford, writing his thesis on India’s international climate change policies and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science from Queen Mary, University of London.
