Sylvain joined The Climate Group in July 2014. He is responsible for developing and implementing media strategies to encourage climate leadership and promote low carbon innovation across the organization’s priority regions.

Prior to joining The Climate Group, Sylvain was Media Manager at The Elders, a group of twelve independent leaders working together for peace, justice and human rights. He helped raise the profile of the organization and worked closely with Kofi Annan, Gro Harlem Brundtland, Jimmy Carter, Mary Robinson and Desmond Tutu, among others, on peace building and thematic initiatives, including climate change. Before that, Sylvain spent 15 years covering world news for Radio France Internationale. He also worked as a press officer for the United Nations in New York and the French Institute of South Africa in Johannesburg.

Sylvain holds MAs in International Relations from Sciences Po-Paris and in Journalism from the Centre de formation des journalistes (Paris). He also studied sustainable development at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
