Yanyan is working as Senior Manager, China Redesign in The Climate Group Beijing office, focusing on the Low Carbon City program.

Before joining The Climate Group, she worked as Project Officer in the European Commission Delegation to China, managing 15 Asia-Pro-Eco regional projects and bilateral programs in environment and development field. She also worked as a lecturer in environmental subjects for the Environmental Management College of China (based in Qinhuangdao) while she led the Sustainable Community Leadership Training Program and other international partnerships for the college. 

Yanyan holds Master degree in Human Ecology from the Vrije University of Brussels in Belgium, and currently is a PhD candidate in the field of environmental policy implementation and instruments from the Twente University in Holland.
