Doug Lawrence

Douglas is Managing Principal and founder of 5 Stone Green Capital LLC with 27 years of distinguished industry experience. Prior to forming 5SGC, Douglas was the co-Portfolio Manager of the 100% green real estate Urban Renaissance Property Fund for JPMorgan Asset Management’s Real Estate platform. While at JPMorgan, he was a key member of the real estate marketing team serving as a trusted fiduciary to many large pension plans. His strength as a senior asset manager garnered nine international and national awards from BOMA, IREM and NAIOP while at JPMorgan. He ran a large portfolio of industrial, office, multifamily and retail assets over the course of his career where he managed more than 5 million SF valued in excess of $1 billion while at JPMorgan. Prior to JPMorgan he spent seven years as a senior asset manager for TIAA-CREF’s real estate investment group; he also worked in the public sector as the Asset Manager for the City of Hartford. Earlier in his career, he was a residential developer in the Southwest.

Douglas holds a MBA from the University of Connecticut in International Business Finance and earned his BA from Yale University. He is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association, Urban Land Institute, National Association of Securities Professionals, National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers. He is on the Board of Advisors for Rutgers Business School and, as well as the Board of Directors for the University of Connecticut Foundation where he also sits its Investment Committee. He has been elected to the Sustainability Board of Advisors for the National Real Estate Investor. Douglas holds NASD series 7 & 63 licenses. He is a frequent speaker on green building topics.
