*This interview is part of our employee interview series where we ask people to share their experience of working at Climate Group and what a regular day looks like in their role.

Why Climate Group?

After so many years of trying to drive change in the corporate world, I wanted to try to do the same from an NGO perspective. I worked with Climate Group in my previous role and so I knew that this was the job for me when I saw the ad.

What does a regular day for you as a Senior Manager look like?

That differs from day to day, which is exactly why I like my job so much! I could be speaking with companies to encourage them to join our mission, reading new research to gain more knowledge within my area, supporting a co-worker in their job, or working with strategy development.

What do you enjoy most about working at Climate Group?

The coffee mach... Only joking! The thing I enjoy most is my colleagues and the different perspectives, both culturally and knowledge-wise, they bring to my work every day.

What have you learnt from working at Climate Group?

Since I'm new in the NGO world I must say that the biggest learning curve has been how this world works. I've had to learn about the different initiatives in this space, how to secure funding, and what success looks like for the organisation. Do I think it’s better than the corporate world? Please join us and ask me in person!

Who or what inspires you in your line of work?

I am driven to help preserve the world’s resources and believe that we must think outside the box in order to achieve this. That means questioning our lifestyle in the global north, when paving the way for progress, and reconsidering what success looks like. Showcasing the need for that kind of thinking is what motivates me most.
