China's installed photovoltaic capacity more than doubled last year, according to the National Energy Administration.

To date, the country is the world's biggest producer of solar energy by capacity.

China will add more than 110 gigawatts of capacity in the 2016-2020 period.

The country aims to boost the mix of non-fossil fuel generated power to 20% by 2030 as part of the Paris Agreement pledge - up from 11% today.
