60 days to Climate Week NYC 2014: the collaborative space for UN Climate Summit events

23 July 2014

NEW YORK: In 60 days, Climate Week NYC returns to Manhattan for its sixth edition as the key international platform for climate action. This year, Climate Week NYC coincides with the UN Climate Summit and will play a crucial role in bringing climate change back to the top of the global agenda, ahead of the Paris 2015 climate conference.

From September 22-28, 2014, Climate Week NYC will be home to around 100 events featuring heads of state, business leaders and civil society representatives, to discuss low carbon solutions and encourage climate action. It is the collaborative space for all events in support of the UN Climate Summit, convened by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Tuesday September 23.

The Opening Day of Climate Week NYC, on Monday September 22, will bring together world leaders and corporate CEOs at the Morgan Library and Museum, New York City. They are expected to lay out their shared vision for a vibrant low carbon economy and to announce a number of major new initiatives designed to help kick-start a ‘clean revolution’. A draft agenda of the Opening Day can be found here.
