Farmer interviews: sharing aspirations and outputs of the AGRAP project

We interviewed three farmers involved in our Madre de Dios pilot project - the Alliance for Regenerative Ranching in the Peruvian Amazon.

Meet Verónica Cardozo

Verónica and her family own a small area of land in the Iñapari district of Tahuamanu.

She talks about the challenges she faces as a small-scale farmer, and her interest in developing sustainable farming practices.

Meet Yenle Cruz Quispe

Yenle comes from a long family line of cattle breeders, and has been farming in Madre de Dios for the past eight years.

He tells us about his ambition to develop sustainable farming practices that are also profitable.

Meet Yony Oscar Portocarrero

Yony has been living in Tahuamanu for the last 35 years. Farming is embedded in his family; both his mother and brothers have their own smallholdings.

He talks about the need to raise environmental awareness and encourage more farmers in the region to adopt sustainable practices.
