Swati Madan

Program Coordinator

As Program Coordinator, Swati primarily contributes to the energy access stream of work at The Climate Group, India.

Previously, she channeled her keen interest in the interplay of clean energy and sustainable development through an internship at the Clean Energy Access Network, India, where she contributed to an initiative to mainstream small-scale hydro power in the country.

Through prior positions with reputable think tanks and NGOs, including the Centre for Civil Society in India and BRAC in Bangladesh, Swati has also been involved in research and analyses into diverse policy issues that range from climate change and the business environment in India, to Sustainable Development Goal 16 and violent extremism in Bangladesh.

Swati is a graduate of the Master in Public Policy program at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in English Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi. She likes to unwind by solving crosswords, and watching world cinema and TV series.
