Swati drives the energy access and sustainable mobility initiatives at The Climate Group, India. Specifically, she is working on a project for mobilising debt financing for the Decentralised Renewable Energy sector as also leading India corporate engagement for EV100.

Previously, she channelled her keen interest in the interplay of clean energy and sustainable development as a researcher at the Clean Energy Access Network, India, where she worked towards mainstreaming small-scale hydro power in the country.

Through prior positions with reputable think tanks and NGOs, including the Centre for Civil Society in India and BRAC in Bangladesh, Swati has also been involved in research and analyses into diverse policy issues that range from climate change and the business environment in India, to Sustainable Development Goal 16 and violent extremism in Bangladesh.

Swati is a graduate of the Master in Public Policy program at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. She also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in English Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi.

She unwinds best by solving crosswords, and watching world cinema and TV series, preferably those replete with dark comedy.
