The Future of Energy

Future Agenda is an international collaboration that brings together leading organizations and individuals to debate and develop informed and credible foresights of what the world could look like in 2025.

Launched in 2010, Future Agenda is the world’s largest open foresight program, providing a global platform for innovative discussions around future opportunities and challenges for 20 separate topics, which range from food and health to data and travel.

The Climate Group is a global host for the topic – The Future of Energy – as part of the larger Future Agenda platform that will take place throughout 2015 and beyond.

As the global host, we will organize a series of workshops to be held in different regions around the world over the next few months (see map below). Drawing from our wide network of expert partners from business, government and civil society, we will invite a range of stakeholders to provide diverse and comprehensive analysis of future energy trends.

The discussions will provide a comprehensive, multi-perspective analysis on future energy trends, taking into account regional differences as well as cross-impacts with other interrelated topics. The output of this programme will be a descriptive portrait directly stemming from global workshops, interviews, surveys and debates describing how the energy future will unfold in the next 10 years.

Future Agenda 2.0’s platform provides a unique opportunity to be intimately involved with a significant piece of international thought-leadership that will engage with and shape the outlook of our future’s energy landscape.
