More than 180 major Indian and global businesses operating in India procured almost a quarter of their electricity needs from renewable energy in 2022 in the country.

Climate Group’s Asia Action Summit returns in 2024 – this time in Seoul, South Korea on 21 May. This year, we’re focused on powering green growth in Asia, putting a spotlight on the benefits of decarbonisation across Asia’s economies. 

Ahead of our second Asia Action Summit, we sat down with Suji Kang, Program Director of the Asia Clean Energy Coalition (ACEC), to discuss some of the big questions in Asia’s transition to net zero, all of which will be central themes of our upcoming conference in Korea. 

In a promising push to India’s net zero goals 10 major Indian businesses are on track to double their energy productivity, according to Climate Group’s latest EP100 Annual Disclosure Report.

After huge success in Singapore in 2023, our Asia Action Summit is back for another year. This time around, we’re in Seoul, South Korea for our one-day flagship event focused on Powering Green Growth in Asia.

As India heads to polls this year, the incumbent government presented the Interim Union Budget on 1 February. Though interim, it can still help us understand India’s climate priorities, and what is to come next.

In 2023, we completed 15 years of operations in India. We also brought governments and businesses together on climate action. This lookback shares some of our important milestones, which will set the stage for our work in 2024.
