Paris attacks and COP21

The Climate Group and all our staff are horrified by the terrible attacks that took place in Paris last Friday night, November 13, and our hearts go out to all those who are mourning  family and friends who died as a result of this senseless violence.

We wish to express our deep solidarity with the people of Paris at this terrible time. In just two weeks the city will be hosting the COP21 climate negotiations. While nothing that is agreed then can assuage the pain of Paris and its citizens, we believe that it is an opportunity for us all to demonstrate that solidarity and cooperation are more powerful than violence in securing a prosperous common future for us all, regardless of race or religious belief.

The Climate Group is committed to supporting the French Government and working with all to make the climate negotiations a success.
