Jia Wei is our Head of Systems Change, China. She has over a decade of experience in climate change and energy transition, with specialized expertise in renewable energy development. She provides the vision, strategic direction, and operational leadership for Climate Group’s systems change portfolio in the region, and ensuring strategic alignment with both China and global objectives.
She brings a wealth of experience in developing and delivering high-impact initiatives such as RE100 and SteelZero to drive systems change for climate action. Working with senior-level stakeholders across philanthropic, corporate, government, and non-profit sectors, she leverages collaborations to maximize the impact of our work. She plays a pivotal role in integrating on-the-ground insights from the Chinese context into the organization’s global strategy.
Prior to joining the Climate Group, Jia served as a Senior Campaigner at Greenpeace Beijing Office, where she advanced corporate climate commitments and actions. She previously held the role of Strategy Manager at a leading wind turbine manufacturer in China, where she was primarily responsible for market research and strategy shaping.
She holds a Master degree in Environmental Science from Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
