Policy Manager - Climate Diplomacy

The Climate Group is seeking a Policy Manager to run a new climate diplomacy initiative for the Under2 Coalition. This is an exciting new role and project aimed at enhancing the influence of leading state and regional governments in helping raise global climate action and ambition in 2020. The successful candidate will join our growing Under2 Coalition Secretariat team, working with colleagues in the US, India and Europe, as well as many of the 200 plus governments that make up the Coalition. We are looking for a self-starter, with a strong background in international climate or broader environmental issues and a passion for developing and executing collaborative stakeholder-driven initiatives.

Communications Adviser

The Climate Group is looking for a talented and ambitious Communications Adviser to help drive integrated communications for our global corporate leadership campaigns including RE100, EV100 and EP100. Working with multinational businesses, as well as colleagues and partners from the US, India, Japan, Australia and elsewhere, they will help shine a spot light on renewable power, electric vehicles and smarter energy. This position carries considerable responsibility and requires significant demonstrable experience in external communications in a fast-paced environment.

Operations Manager - North America

The Climate Group has an exciting immediate opportunity for a proven Operations/Executive Assistant professional to join the US office of an international not-for-profit dedicated to protecting our planet and future prosperity by accelerating climate action in order to keep global warming to no more than 1.5°C (2.7°F).

In this key position, you will work directly with the Executive Director of North America, and the current NYC-based staff of 10, to ensure a highly functioning, professional, team-oriented work environment. The Operations Manager manages and oversees all activities of the North American office in support of The Climate Group’s mission to accelerate climate.  

The Operations Manager demonstrates excellent leadership and management skills, the ability to support the Executive Director and team to ensure maximum efficiency in a high-paced but fun environment. The role requires keen judgment to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and discretion.

Necessary technical skills include proficiency in written communications as well as Microsoft Office, such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. It would be desirable that you have experience in Salesforce and/or FinancialForce or equivalent systems, and ideally desktop publishing.

Management Reporting Accountant

The Climate Group has an exciting immediate opportunity for a Management Reporting Accountant to join our small accounting team in our London HQ. This role will report to the Senior Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for global reconciliation of transactions in our Project and Accounting software (FinancialForce) as well as supporting the Senior Finance Manager in the timely production of the global monthly management accounts. This role will be focused on continuous reviewing and monitoring of finance policies, procedures and reporting.

The role requires a methodical, timely and organised approach to completing tasks to facilitate decision making and the efficient running of the organisation and its projects.

Head of Global Government Relations

The Climate Group is looking for a talented and ambitious professional to manage government relationships and build subnational government partnerships for the Under2 Coalition. They will have the opportunity to play a critical role in leading the global engagement for the Under2 Coalition, for which The Climate Group acts as the Secretariat.  

This is a senior position in the Under2 Coalition team and therefore we are seeking an individual with strong track record of managing stakeholder relationships, experience of managing a team and an ability to engage with external partners.
