Project Officer, Business Action

The Climate Group is seeking a Project Officer to support our work with companies making ambitious leadership commitments as part of our business action initiatives. 

The Project Officer will focus initially on our built environment programmes, in particular the Climate Group’s work on smart energy use, through EP100 and scaling up LED lighting technology. The role will involve supporting the wider team by managing and optimising key business systems, such as client relationship management and knowledge management.

The successful candidate will be part of the Climate Group’s Business Actions team, working closely with colleagues in our India and US offices, as well as with the other corporate campaigns, communications and fundraising teams.

Senior Communications Manager

This is the Climate Group’s primary communications’ role for driving global business action on climate change. It involves a major focus on the global energy system, including developing and delivering the integrated communications programme for our flagship business campaign, RE100, which brings together hundreds of large and ambitious businesses committed to 100% renewable electricity and influences markets from North America to Asia. The role will also manage a team driving the communications strategy across our business campaigns in the transport and industrial systems. 

On a daily basis, the job involves building and delivering campaigns to drive greater corporate action and policy change by governments as well as liaising with international partners to build sustained global profile with key stakeholders. It comes with the opportunity to develop your own expertise and connections, championing the huge successes of our business members. 

The role requires adept balancing of internal and external needs, best handled by building a clear, ambitious vision for your work in collaboration with colleagues and contacts. It would suit someone who is both passionate about the power of integrated communications to achieve real-world change with an ability to be strategic and/or tactical in delivering that. As well as management responsibility for two staff, this is a senior position in a wider international communications team. It comes with significant support from a line manager and access to specialist expertise and resources in all major communications disciplines and colleagues in US and India.

Under2 Senior Project Officer

The Climate Group is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills to implement one of our policy projects, the ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) Community. The ZEV Community brings together governments to share and learn about exciting ZEV initiatives taking place around the world. You will be working closely with partner organisations and sub-national government officials involved in the ZEV Community, providing opportunities for peer learning and showcasing government leadership.

You will also work closely with the Under2 Coalition policy team, providing support to state and regional governments to develop climate policies and share their progress with global counterparts.

Senior Manager – Climate Transparency and Pathways

The Climate Group is looking for an ambitious and knowledgeable Senior Manager to join our Transparency & Pathways team within the Under2 Coalition Secretariat. The Transparency & Pathways portfolio has enjoyed considerable success and growth over the last few years, and we are looking for a candidate with the skills and technical expertise to help us expand and diversify our accountability and capacity building work with state and regional governments, particularly in developing and emerging economies.  

Working closely with the Head of Transparency and Pathways, Transparency and Pathways, Under2 Coalition, fundraising and communications team members, state and regional governments, external partners, stakeholders and donors, the successful candidate will play a key role in business and partnership development; technical oversight, input and review across the transparency and pathways portfolio; contribute to organisational strategy and solutions; and help nurture and support a data driven, results focused and high impact team.

Data Protection Manager

The Climate Group is seeking a Data Protection Manager to assist the Climate Group with the implementation of a privacy governance framework across the Climate Group.  This interesting role will require you to work with many colleagues and teams in different parts of the Climate Group, in the UK, US and India and also with our external partners.  We are looking for a self-starter with experience in data protection for a commercial or a not-for-profit organisation.
