Joseph Kinard brings diverse investment industry experience. He is skilled in analysing alternative asset firms (hedge fund, private equity and venture capital) to determine valuations of private companies. Mr. Kinard has helped companies in obtaining venture capital, mezzanine and angel financing representing both capital funds and their portfolio companies.
He serves on the CEO Search, Investment, Social Responsibility and Church Relations Committees and is a Board of Pensions representative to the General Assembly Committee on Mission Responsibility through Investment (MRTI). Additionally, Mr. Kinard serves as a reviewer of the Presbyterian Church, USA Foundation investment strategy. He has extensive experience in helping companies obtain angel, venture capital and mezzanine financing representing capital funds, and individuals.
He is a Guest Lecturer, University of The South, Center for Religion and the Environment on promise and shortcomings of renewable energy, role renewables play at residential/business and community levels, politics of energy, and Guest Lecturer, University of The South, Babson Center for Global Commerce on corporate social responsible investment and underscoring the importance and viability of responsible investment screens for institutional investors.
