Mary Jo Cook is a mission driven leader combining Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial experiences to help companies generate outstanding financial, social, and environmental returns. She has served in CEO, COO, VP, and Board roles and brings expertise in strategy development, corporate partnerships, product innovation, communications, organization effectiveness, fundraising, and finance. 

As the Clorox Company’s first Vice President of Innovation & Sustainability, Mary Jo led a new products team in developing and launching the GreenWorks natural home care line, while also advising brands on how they could use sustainability as a lever for mitigating risk, reducing cost, and driving growth.  As Chief Impact Officer at Fair Trade USA, she helped businesses create stronger, more resilient supply chains, manage reputational risk, and better engage their consumers while simultaneously creating more value for farmers and workers. As CEO of Pacific Community Ventures, she led a new vision, strategy, branding and communication plan which provided loans and mentoring to California entrepreneurs while expanding nationally through corporate partnerships.

Mary Jo holds an MBA in International Business and Marketing from the University of Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois.  She’s served on the Advisory Boards of Sustainable Brands, leveraging the power of networks to accelerate learning and drive corporate action; and the US Community Investing Index, a fund of publicly traded companies screened on human, civic, natural, and financial capital.  In addition to her work with The Climate Group, Mary Jo currently serves in board / advisory roles to several venture backed start-ups.
