Meet the second cohort of our Fellows (2023-24)
Abhipsha Ghosh:
Abhipsha was our State Climate Fellow for West Bengal
Abhipsha supported the Environment Department of West Bengal in project development and policy planning to strengthen environmental and climate action across the state. She engaged in the ongoing revision of the State Action Plan on Climate Change for West Bengal in consultation with key stakeholder departments and subject experts.
Dr. Ajaz Hussain:
Ajaz was our State Climate Fellow for UT Ladakh
Ajaz was engaged with the Government of UT Ladakh, assisting the Power Development Department of UT Ladakh with project development work related to Carbon-Neutral Ladakh, Rooftop solar program Ph-II in Ladakh, and Ladakh Renewable Energy Initiative projects.
Anurag Gupta:
Anurag was our State Climate Fellow for Madhya Pradesh
Anurag's role as a State Climate Fellow was to work with the Government of Madhya Pradesh (MP), on the implementation of rooftop solar (RTS) initiatives such as the SRISTI, SUBAH and SURAJ. Under these initiatives, RTS will be installed in over 280 technical institutions across the state, and at several medical and Panchayati raj institutions in eight states of southern India. He is also working on the implementation of RTS projects at 11 campuses of the Footwear Design and Development Institute and 10 campuses of the National Power Training Institute of India.
Samrat Deb:
Samrat was our State Climate Fellow for Tripura
Samrat worked with the Government of Tripura's Directorate of Biotechnology on an ambitious pilot initiative called "Bio-Village".
Sehajdeep Kaur:
Sehajdeep was our State Climate Fellow for Punjab
Sehajdeep worked with the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change (DECC), Punjab, to achieve net zero carbon emissions in the state.
Meet the first cohort of our Fellows (2024-2025)
Arundhati Deka:
Arundhati was our State Climate Fellow for Assam
Arundhati worked with the Assam Climate Change Management Society to integrate climate change resilient practices across government programmes and policies.
Garima Chotani:
Garima was our State Climate Fellow for Madhya Pradesh
Garima worked on NITI Aayog's SuBaH project on the implementation of solar rooftop panels across all states.
Tanmoy Mukherjee
Tanmoy was our State Climate Fellow in Bihar
Tanmoy worked with the Department of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change, Government of Bihar, to contribute to its State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC).
Trishant Dev:
Trishant was our State Climate Fellow for Chhattisgarh
Trishant worked with the State Green Council to support initiatives in carbon neutrality, renewable energy and sustainable livelihoods.
