There are 39 Under2 Coalition member states and regions in North America, from the US and Canada. Nine North American states and regional members have more ambitious low-carbon standards than their national governments.

Projects and workstreams

There is an urgent need to explore mechanisms and structures to scale up lower emission steel and ensure progress continues in the United States. With the current political landscape and volatility in the sector, sustained momentum and near-term solutions can act as a guardrail to successfully scale clean steel. We created the report, Interim Progress on Near Zero Steel, year-long project to assess the current landscape and ways in which the market can make progress, today. Read the full report here.

US Leaders' Forum

Back for its sixth year, the US Leaders’ Forum will bring together the largest and most prominent coalition of subnational and federal leaders, C-Suite level executives from the private sector and NGO decision makers who are committed to the US leading on efficiency, resilience and mitigation.
