Ruby Chorbajian

Ruby brings 20 years of experience in strategic business development and international fundraising. She has forged high-value partnerships with foundations, governments, and donor networks to tackle some of the world's most pressing challenges.

As Climate Group’s Director of Philanthropy, Ruby leads our strategy for philanthropic partnerships and overseas development funding. She plays a key role in shaping our long-term growth and broadening our collaboration in Latin America, Europe, China, and India. She also helps advance key policy initiatives and flagship programmes, including RE100, EV100, SteelZero, and the Under2 Coalition.

Before joining Climate Group, Ruby worked across human rights, conflict transformation, education, and the arts. An experienced nonprofit trustee and coach, she has supported mission-driven organisations in the UK and US to sharpen their strategies, strengthen leadership, and increase their fundraising capacity.

Ruby holds a qualification in business administration from the London School of Economics. She also earned degrees in international law, sociology, and anthropology from Queen’s University Belfast, National University of Ireland Galway, and Warren Wilson College in Asheville, North Carolina. She is fluent in English and Armenian.
