UK Electric Fleets Coalition - 2022 Policy Paper

The UK Electric Fleets Coalition (UKEFC) is a group of 28 leading businesses, led by the Climate Group in partnership with BT Group, LeasePlan, Openreach and Royal Mail. We have come together to demonstrate how UK businesses are leading the world in commitments to zero emission vehicles (ZEVs) while advocating for ambition from policymakers to decarbonise road transport and accelerate the transition to a net zero economy.

Since 2020, We have demonstrated our commitment to the EV transition, supporting the ban on the sales of new internal combustion cars and vans from 2030 and welcoming the planned Zero Emission Vehicle mandate which, if well implemented will ensure that supply of Electric Vehicles meets clearly demonstrated demand. 

Now is the time to build momentum further.  Road transport remains the most significant source of carbon emissions in the UK. The technologies to address this are available. Continued support and certainty from the new Government will enable business to deliver on their commitments , continue to lead and put the UK at the heart of a global transition towards a zero emission transport system.
