The global transition to zero emission vehicles: a perspective for Japan

This webinar hosted by JCLP introduced case studies of companies and local governments that are actively engaged in the transition to zero emission vehicles, as well as providing commentary from international experts on global EV trends. The aim of the session was to demonstrate the role of EVs in helping to achieve decarbonisation targets and how this could be applied in Japan.

RouteZero roundtable: Exploring opportunities to accelerate the adoption of electric two wheelers (E2W) in India

In this virtual event hosted jointly by the Climate Group, World Economic Forum and WBCSD, we heard from Niti Aayog, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Delhi Dialogue Commission-Government of Delhi, Government of Karnataka, Hero Electric and British High Commission about the importance of accelerating the transition to electric two wheelers in India on the road to COP26.

COP26 and the race to zero emission vehicles: opportunities for leadership in the ICT sector

In this closed door roundtable hosted by the Climate Group and BT, we brought together leading Information and Communications Technology (ICT) companies to discuss key trends and market pressures for decarbonising corporate fleets in the sector. Along with learning out EV100, participants also heard from senior representatives at BT and Sky about their experiences.

Petersberg Climate Dialogue XII satellite event: Breakthroughs in the Race to Zero Emission Vehicles 

This satellite event focused on the shift to zero emission vehicles and the role of the ambition loop - the relationship between government and business - in driving the transition.

Hosted by High Level Champion, Nigel Topping, we heard from Alok Sharma, COP26 President Designate; Stientje van Veldhoven, State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management, Government of the Netherlands; Rachel Maclean, UK Minister for Transport, UK Government; Ola Kaellenius, CEO, Daimler; Christopher Burghardt, President, ChargeUp Europe; Dr Frank Appel, CEO, Deutsche Post DHL Group; Sabine Nallinger, CEO, Stiftung 2 Grad; and Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, German Government. Helen Clarkson, CEO of the Climate Group provided the closing remarks. Cleaning up road transport - towards COP26 and the era of zero emission vehicles

In this virtual event hosted by the British Embassy Madrid, we heard from the British Ambassador to Spain, the COP26 unit, the Climate Group, Iberdrola and Málaga about the necessity and opportunity to decarbonise transport in Spain and beyond.

The event included an overview of EV100 – a global initiative which brings together forward-looking companies committed to speeding up the transition to EVs –, along with a presentation from Iberdrola, the first Spanish company to join the initiative, explaining its commitment to 100% fleet electrification in all its global operations by 2030.
