Finance Fit for Change
Pilot project exploring the levers available to states and regions to mobilise finance and achieve their climate goals.

About the project
Climate finance is an area of increasing importance and interest to governments. However, this need is in stark contrast to the knowledge and resources available, especially at subnational level where access to and influence over climate finance varies greatly.
Through this project we surveyed European and North American governments to understand how states and regions might:
- access or generate financial resources to support climate mitigation goals;
- use (spend) those resources in order to realise climate mitigation outcomes, including the use of those resources to mobilise additional investment by other parties;
- create an enabling environment that supports other actors in the region to raise and use resources for climate mitigation.
