German states pave the way for truck electrification with new eHighways

Case study 25 October 2018, 15:20 UTC

The German states of Hesse and Schleswig-Holstein have piloted the construction of eHighways to electrify truck transport. Aside from the emissions reduction offered by electric trucks, they also significantly reduce noise, allowing more overnight transport assignments, thus reducing daytime traffic. There is also a drastic reduction of air pollution.
