Under2 Coalition 2020 highlights report

States and regions are increasingly recognised as crucial actors in the effort to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. And, through the Under2 Coalition, they’re becoming more ambitious, setting long-term goals and delivering on critical climate action. 

2020 was a year like no other. In the middle of a global pandemic, the Under2 Coalition has shown its overwhelming commitment to action on climate change and to doing more, faster.

As Secretariat, the Climate Group are proud of the way members have stepped in and stepped up – showing leadership in an unprecedented and incredibly challenging time.

This report, available to download below, summarises the Coalition’s achievements in 2020 and outlines our goals for the year ahead as we approach COP26.

The achievements highlighted are a result of the ongoing leadership of Under2 Coalition members. We look forward to fostering the power of this network further in 2021, to accelerate the pace of climate action and work towards a global goal of net zero emissions by 2050 with greater prosperity for all.
