Podcast: An overview of the Technical Criteria
We've used AI to create a podcast based on the content of the published 24/7 Carbon-Free Coalition Technical Criteria. It has been reviewed by Climate Group staff for accuracy and legal reasons and is in line with the organisation’s AI policy.
Made possible by our Technical Advisory Group
Climate Group would like to thank Clean Air Task Force, Electricity Maps, EnergyTag, Good Energy, Granular Energy, Flexidao, LevelTen, RMI, Octopus and Constellation for their support with the development of the technical guidance. The TAG contributes to the development of the technical criteria, but the entirety of the technical criteria may not reflect each TAG partner’s views.
We’re pleased to welcome Killian Daly, Executive Director of EnergyTag, as the new Chair of the 24/7 Carbon-free Coalition’s TAG. Killian is a leading voice in granular, hourly carbon‑free energy tracking, having spearheaded the development of the EnergyTag Standard and its globally supported Granular Certificates.
In this role, he will guide the continued development of the Coalition’s technical framework, which will support members, and ensure alignment with major policy and accounting initiatives such as the GHG Protocol. Killian describes the Coalition as the “natural progression of corporate clean energy leadership,” moving beyond annual matching toward real‑time clean energy procurement - an essential step for deeply decarbonised power systems.
