It means using locally sourced carbon-free electricity around the clock – 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

It works by matching electricity demand with carbon-free generation, where and when consumption occurs.

It's the next frontier in renewable electricity procurement

Location-based matching gives a clear demand signal to show where more carbon-free electricity is needed. By purchasing it from electricity grids ​where consumption occurs, companies can drive greater impact in the communities where they operate.

24/7 carbon-free electricity will encourage innovation by deploying a broad set of technologies – including increasing renewables, improving battery storage, and using flexible and dispatchable tech to fill gaps when more intermittent carbon-free sources aren’t available.
